Affiliation of New Anime Club
Hello AMC and newbies,
Considering its nearing the end of the year, thought it might be worth putting out a post. It’s nearing 2025, and that means those interested in anime, manga and everything else otaku have the opportunity to start and affiliate a club in Unimelb!
For those who are still students at Unimelb, as well as newbies to the uni, who are interested in affiliating an anime club with Unimelb, check out this page: https://umsu.unimelb.edu.au/buddy-up/clubs/questions/how-to-affiliate-a-club/ and join the discord! Let us know if you’re keen, so we can anticipate who to pass the club stuff to. Also post your interest in the discord so other’s interested in weeb stuff can help and join your cause! I am sure there are plenty of people happy to help. Feel free to get in contact with C&S as well.
If everything goes well, we will endeavour to pass over any remaining assets/stuff we have of the club to you guys. We just recently are attempting to revive our efforts to potentially hand over the bank account to UMSU. President James said he’ll try and talk to C&S in the next two weeks. But if things go poorly and we still have the bank account, we’ll happily hand it over to the new committee if and once affiliated.
Hopefully the ball can get rolling early next year if not now, since C&S does have a strict timeline for creating clubs
